About Me

I came to children’s book writing in a roundabout kind of way, even though it’s the only thing I ever really wanted to do.

My foray into the professional world was as a physiotherapist, before later deciding to re-qualify as a lawyer. I enjoyed many aspects of both professions for different reasons, but it was always clear to me that something was missing. I knew deep down what that something was, but I was too scared to pursue it. Until I had kids. Then, the spark for creative writing and storytelling was well and truly lit.

It was during Melbourne’s extensive COVID lockdowns that my idea for All the Love in the World developed. At that time, the rest of the world felt so far away. So, every bedtime my kids and I would explore a different country from their bedroom on a quest to find enough words for me to say how much I loved them.

One night, I decided to start writing that story down. And I never looked back.

To the child in me who wanted more than anything to be a children’s book author – I am very happy to say, you did it!

And to you all, I hope more than anything that you enjoy reading All the Love in the World as much as I enjoyed writing it.
